Aida F. Karamysheva

Doctor of Biological Sciences, Chief scientific consultant of the Laboratory of Tumor Cell Genetics at the Research Institute of Carcinogenesis of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. She participated in cloning of the FLT-4 gene coding one of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptors VEGFR3 which plays an important role in lymphangiogenesis and tumor metastasis.

Dr. Karamysheva systematically studies VEGFR receptors and their ligands – molecular markers showing the condition of vascular system and angiogenesis activity in tissue. Evaluation of these markers is important for disease progression prognosis as tumor growth is closely related with stimulation of new vessel growth.

Author of more than 80 publications, which are actively cited by the world scientific community.
